New Projects.

Published: Apr 16, 2025

As of late, between work and life, I feel I haven't really had much time to work on my own personal programming projects. Which is quite upsetting considering how close to complete (even if not the most optimized) some of my projects are. However, despite the proximity of releasing an actual build of my program, I find myself not really wanting to work on it from time to time.

I often think, why even bother in fixing X or working on Y. I like excitement, and something new. Why worry about working on my codebase when I can just make a new one? It is pretty short sighted of me to think that way, but most of my coding spurts come from wanting to learn new libraries, frameworks, and languages rather than necessity to do so.

So essentially, what I am trying to say is that I'm going to be beginning some new projects and temporarily stepping away from existing ones. This does not mean I am done working on them, or that I will stop maintaining them. However, I'd like to start some new projects, I have more than a few in mind, one in Rust, another using Bottle + Python, and a few CLI programs I'd like to create.

That is my favorite aspect of programming, building new things. To me, it helps keep it fun and exciting.
